  1. Kelleher or du Preez. Don't think I'd worry too much about the tactics it's just the moment and the people who live in it will have a better chance of doing something. That's where the experience of Gregan comes in. Will be very interesting.

  2. I'll stick my neck out and say the South African, Fourie Du Preez. My reasoning is that:

    1. Only NZ, SA, Fr and Aus will score enough tries to put their scrum halves into contention.

    2. The ABs have put Weepu in the back line so that rules him out.

    3. Byron Kelleher does not have the same accelerative ability as Du Preez and uses the kick a lot.

    4. Gregan will be too tired to score that many tries

    5. As far as the French scrum half Mignoni is concerned, ah... who is he?

    6. Du Preez prefers to run the ball himself if he's not feeding the line, rather than kick.

So there's my choice - Springbok Fourie Du Preez!

  3. I'll go with Du Preez as well... but for very different reasons.

First off, Weepu isn't even at the World Cup so I don't know where the 1st guy is getting his info.  Kelleher looks to have the nod ahead of Brendan Leonard for the All Blacks but I doubt either one will score the most tries because the All Black philosophy is to go wide a lot, and so their primary role is to distribute, rather than attack themselves.  Gregan is too old and he hasn't learn't any new tricks, so everyone will be all over him.

Mignoni is a very good scrum half and will probably score a few, but with Elissalde being a very good back up, I think they'll split a lot of games, alternating starts and coming off the bench.  Augustin Pichot of Argentina is my favourite scrum half, but since they play France and Ireland, I can't see him scoring a lot since he'll probably be rested against Namibia and Georgia.

  4. dwayne peel is the best scrum half on earth..so i'll go with him..

  5. kelleher will definately make the most asists, considering they just hammered Italy and have Portugal & Romania in their group too. Its also a matter if he goes for the tries himself. the lesser nations are putting up big fights this time upsetting the larger nations, they cover well at the break down so most of the tries will be scored out wide where the lesser teams will be found lacking to the likes of Howlett, Habana and other.

Whoever starts at scrum-half for scotland will rack up a few tries over the next few weeks so ill say chusiter if he plays
