Which seaside resort to go to in wales?for a day trip?

Question

as its the summer holidays me and my friends want to go out on a day trip to Wales..to visit a seaside resort?i'm from manchester.

i don't know where to go...i've only ever been to Wales once and i went to Prestatyn.

i really need advice from someone who's Welsh or from soemone who visits Wales alot.

i need somewhere i can get to by train?

i really like Gower Peninsula....the beaches are Beautiful!!

i also like Prestatyn but when i went it was raining :(

but which one would be good to go to?

Aberavon has a lovely beach and a cinema complex and aquadome recreation swimming pool with rubber ring slides etc. There is a train station nearby called Port Talbot

Alternatively Barry is accessible by rail but the area isn't that great these days although there is a fun fair right by the beach and lots of amusement arcades

Aberaeron is beautiful and so is Cefn Sidan which also has a fab country park.

I went there for a trip last year and we stayed in Llandudno and it was absolutely gorgeous . I highly recommend.
