  1. Steve F is a time traveller from the days of steam. Mold railway station closed in 1962. Nearest open station is Flint (5 miles).

  2. Rhyll, Prestatyn, Colwyn Bay, Bangor, Mold, Llandudno

all along the North Coast, easy access from Manchester

  3. barry island and penarth and are only about 20-30 minutes from cardiff which should have good links to manchester.

  4. None. Don't even have electricity or running water in most parts of the country.

  5. Tenby

  6. tenby is just fab and easy to travel to via train or bus.

  7. Barmouth, its beautiful x

  8. For a day trip from Manchester you're talking about the north coast, so Prestatyn (if you like caravans), Rhyl, Abergele (not all trains stop there), Colwyn Bay, Llandudno Junction (easiest way to get to Conwy since only local trains call at Conwy itself), Llandudno. I wouldn't call Flint or Shotton resorts, even though they're on the coast, and Mold's not even on the coast!

  9. There's a hourly train from Manchester to Cardiff and then plenty of trains to either Penarth or Barry. If you decide to travel a bit further to , say Saundersfoot, remember it's a request stop.

All in all I would say that you would do better to stick to somewhere along the North Wales coast

  10. Think about Colwyn Bay or better still Llandudno ???.you would have to change @ Llandudno junction though .. but thats no hardship ..
