  2. The second; the subject of the sentence is the relationship, not the mother (object).  You use whom to refer to the object and who for the subject.

  3. First one because you know the who is Ida.

I believe the first sentence is correct, even though the second one may sound better.  This is a complex sentence, and even though it appears that WHOM would be correct, you are dealing with a noun in apposition, rather than an object of the verb, to call.  Therefore, WHO would be the correct choice.  Let's see how many others get this right.
