  1. UV light causes pyrimidine dimers (pyrimidines are cytosine and thymine). When this happens covalent bonds form between two adjacent pyrimidines, preventing the normal complementary pairing with the other strand. It will lead to contortions in the DNA helix, which will inhibit replication and transcription. The most common form seen is thymine dimers. The sequence with the most side-by-side pyrimidines (especially thymines) is most likely to be damaged.

    I would say CTTTGA.

    Also, the third sequence appears to be RNA.
