  1. any set of Ben Hogan irons are great. I suggest going to a large golf store and getting a set on clearence that are last years model

  2. Callaway X20's

  3. I love the Taylormade R7XD, they are super long and very forgiving, sort of pricey, but look around and you might be able to get a deal

  4. Ahh, the net is the place to look. Go to google and type in "golf club review" and then the name of your clubs. Ive included the links to the reviews of your choices below. There are some great websites out there.

The reviewers definately give it to the 3rd set you mention. The one review on your Acuity set (2nd in your question) questions the quality. Looks like the Golden Bear is the way to go.

Personally I prefer Adams golf clubs. Maybe a set of GT500's. There are some cheap new sets on ebay. They get fantastic reviews and I used to import the brand into Australia.

  5. I don't know anything about the clubs you've mentioned.  My irons are TaylorMade Rac II, with graphite shafts.  They're about five years old.  I've been considering new irons and today I borrowed a rental set from the club where I work.  They were TaylorMade Burner XDs, 4 through 9 plus A,P,S wedges.  Steel Shaft.  Absolutely awesome.  The weather conditions today were abysmal.  I hit into the wind, across the wind and with the wind at my back.  As I was trying these new irons I used a long iron where I'd normally hit a fairway wood or hybrid.  I struck the ball cleanly with excellent distance virtually every time.  The wedges were true and my touch around the greens was better than with my own clubs.  I'm hooked and am now working on buying these irons.  I'd recommend them to anybody.

  6. I personally don't like any of those clubs.  I am an assistant pro in Southern Utah and I have a Nike NDS set, but I am switching to the sasquath (I can't ever spell that) soon.  I have loved my old Nike set so if you are starting out I would try something like that.  A lot of the major golf equipment guys have pre-owned clubs that you can find at a great price.  I know callaway has pre-owned clubs and I believe titlest does also.  You can also look in your local newspaper to see if they are selling any good clubs in your area.  There is always a good set somewhere that someone wants to sell.

  7. see here, they have more thing what you want
