  1. i have been on both and the best one for kids is the fantasy even thoughu want to stay longer i think u would enjoy the fantasy more both both are nice!

  2. you wont need ANY help finding activities;<) . i would go on the longer one. since your on a budget, go to trussvilletravel.com and click on cruises, then do a search for what you want. trussvilletravel.com has up to 68% off cruises. i did a search for another guy looking for a cheap cruise, and he couldn't afford the $1111 price for a 7 day cruise. i found the same cruise for him at trussvilletravel.com for under $700. thats how much you can save at trussvilletravel.com . i hope this helps!

  3. Go to CruiseCritic.com.  Click on "Boards", then go to "Carnival Cruise Lines".  You can also check out the board pertaining to family/kids' activities.  [Check out the "Cruise Styles" category at the top of the home page.]

You should also check the "Reviews" section, but be sure you look at the past-passenger reviews.

  4. I just got back from the Carnival Imagination. It definatly wasn't the biggest ship, but it was plenty big for our family. It was a 5 night cruise and was really fun. I would recommend the longer one becuase all the ships are nice. The week goes by faster then you can imagine. Also, I am not sure what the ports of call are but I think it is really nice to have the "Fun Day at Sea" the first day and then get to go to ports all the other. Just an opinion. Either way you will have lots of fun. Carnival does a really nice job!

  5. Sorry to sound harsh, but there are more important questions to ask on here......count your blessings that you have money, family, kids, the works, and now the option of going on a cruise.....who put  you in their will?

  6. well that's great that you can save alot at that travel agency he mentions so much haha.

the holiday is a much older ship and only  46,052 tons and has a Passenger capacity of - 1,452

the fantasy is Tonnage - 70,367 and Passenger capacity - 2,056

the fantasy is alot larger and therefor has more to do.  the holiday being a smaller ship would be a bit more quiet and less lines.  Personally the fantasy is my favorite size ship.  as far as your kids go just sign them up for camp carnival.  they keep the kids during the day and have activities non stop.  best thing is its all free.  hope this helps
