Question:

Which shoe and hose should I wear

We are planning our wedding for Feb or Mar and more than likely I will still be on crutches with my left leg stilll paralyzed. I am planning on a white pant suit and would a white pump or sandal be best on my good foot with sheer hoose. My affected foot is always shoeless and would sheer or opaque hose be best for it. If I need yet another surgery and in another cast, my dressmaker will make a skirt to match my jacket, and what about a shoe for it. Appreciate your views and wish that I could invite all of you.

  1. I am in a similar situation.  I  just got out of a full leg cast.  I never tried to hide or cover up anything relating to my condition.  Whether I wore a pump or sandal on my good foot, I never covered any part of my cast and it made my situation more bearable.  Wear a nude hose on your affected foot regardless of which shoe you wear, and if you are back in a cast, leave those toes bare.

  2. I would go with opaque hose andd a white pump, just to make it less noticable. :]

    Good luck!

  3. In your situation, my feeling is to maximize or build on what you have, and not try to downplay, for lack of a better term, your disability.  Go ahead with the sandal and nude hose, and continue the look over to your affected foot with the same hose, unless that foot is scared and you want to cover the scars.  Sandals show the beauty of a foot, so why not show the beauty of both.  And if you are in a cast, definitely stick with a sandal and do not cover the toes in your cast.  I know your situation, and if I can help further, email me.
