Which shoe to wear for cosplay?

I am a newbie at cosplay and would like to wear this to an anime convention. Just wondering what kind of shoes should I be looking at..

It's a kimono type dress which looks like

considering it's more of a WaLolita dress (Kimono Lolita) the best thing would to wear would probably be knee socks or full tights in a matching color to the dress & cute chunky Mary Jane's or Rocking Horse shoes... if your not sure what a rocking horse shoe is try searching around eBay..

Wera sandals with socks! lol! srsly though that's what they do, look up kimono shoes..

or if its from an anime, wear the kind of shoes that the character does.
