Which shortwave radio should I buy?

I am starting to get more involved in talk radio, yet my car refuses to pick up ANY AM stations, can I pick up a cheap shortwave radio from radio shack and be able to get all the stations I want around the country, or does spending more money somehow help when it comes to picking up the stations that I wanna hear?

Why not visit a Radio Shack, ask for a demo and go from there.

NO . Shortwave radios pick up international broadcasters , NOT domestic stations.

The best you can do for that is Satellite radio , and if the domestic station that you want isn't on the system , then your out of luck.
