Which should I buy? 350z or SRT-4?

Ok so I'm about ready to buy one of these beasts but I can't decide! It will be my daily driver but I do think both make great daily drivers -leaning more so with the SRT-4 as it has 4 doors. BUT, I still can't decide. What do you guys think bang for your buck wise, and overall reliability and in the long term, what do you see with each vehicle whether it be resale value or problems arising? Any ideas? I also am aware that the SRT-4 is turbocharged stock 4 banger where as the 350z is a V6 non-turboed beast stock Thanks.

  1. Why not go with a G35 instead of the 350z? They are the same car except the G35 has a nicer interior and back seats. If that is going to be your DD then it should have some luxury and practicality. Also if you're looking at the 350Z you might want to check out the Pontiac GTO. It's RWD and faster than both.

  2. 350z, definitely, as long as you don't need the space and can afford it.  wish I'd gone for that over my mustang convertible.  you can't go wrong with quality.  if you need the space, go for a used g35, basically a larger 350z with more options.

  3. I'd go with the SRT 4 if you wanna customize it. I just bought one ( www.myspace.com/cristiansand     for pics) and its bad ***. I love it. My friend drives a 350z and i smoke his *** everytime plus i get better gas milage than him. 350z are nice and all but think about it.....the srt 4 is faster and its 4 doors....only being able to take 1 person in your car gets annoying. But you really cant go wrong either way. This coming from a owner of an SRT 4. Enjoy either one!!

  4. If it were me I'd definitely go with the 350z. Although neither is what you might consider "high quality" the SRT-4 is way more cheaply made. Plus, you'd be buying Japanese over American which is much more reliable and desirable. You will probably get a great deal on one too considering they're going to be replaced very soon by the 370z's.

  5. Consumer Reports says the 350z is a better buy. It is more reliable and fun to drive. A turbo-charged engine is more prone to repairs and more expensive to fix. Mileage should be about the same for both cars but consider the extra 30 - 50 cents you'll be spending per gallon when refueling the SRT-4 -4 as you will need premium gas, where as the 350z can run on regular. Also, Do you need 4 doors? If you are going to require constant access to the rear seats for example with kids, car-pooling or clients you may like the 4 doors better. Aside from that, It's a matter of taste, test drive both, but personally I would go with the 350z. Black with chrome wheels looks bad-***.
