theres lots of things you can do.

First, dont dump aquarium water into a natural body of water

second, if you have a boat or if ur going fishing or anything. wash all equipment that touches the water before moving to a different system. The just introducing a few organisms can turn into an ecosystem invasion. Fisherman should always steralize hooks and such after using them. I personally soak all hooks, weights, and anything else that i can in rubbing alcohol. Also changing the line and washing the rod and reel help. Boats should be washed with some sort of bleach or ammonia mixture to kill invasive algae and bacteria that may be clinging to it.
