Which should i play? basketball or football

Question

I am 5'11 180 freshman. 40 time is about 6 flat

i have a strong passion for football, i have loved it my whole life and everyone at school tells me i should play. And i also know much more about football penalties wise and what each position does during the play. and just general football history

but i have heard that i would be a good center in basketball

can someone help?

well if u no more about the sprt u shoould defenitly go with football i think football is better than basketball (i play both) but i like them both but football better i think football   hope this helps  =þ

if your sure 6 flat is your forty then u are pretty slow. i would still stick with football with the info u gave me though.

A lot of people have this problem and then you see basketball players who are very tall not really good.It even happened in the NBA too.

Look i say go for both but if basketball is distracting you from football than don't leave basketball alone,just don't go to a sport that will grant you a spot on the team just because of your height.

What position would you want to play.  With your height you could be good at basketball, but honestly if you havent played basketball all your life, you shouldnt play it.  There will be a lot of endurance, and you need to be good with pick and role defense and offense being a center.  

Football is probably the better option if you r in high school, u should list ur age and football position.

they aren't the same season, so why not play both.  maybe they overlap a bit, but i believe lots of student athletes have played both.  even in Div. I college.
