Which should i prefer?

i am iit aspirant now in XI .i am going to base mysore class room coaching. I thought of taking fiitjee's correspondance coaching(Rankers study material-2yr program).But base people announced that there are some h c vermas book for sale.Iwanted to know whether this vermas book is only problem book or refrence book? Do both of these books are concentrating on same thing?(mean to say that r they givivg us some theory and then some problems to work)Among these which is the best ?are any other book ?I really confused?

1) To the people responding: There is no such thing as a US/Canada/UK/India/or any other country board. They are all one and the same. Why does Yahoo have us think we're in a Canadian/US or other section? Haven't the faintest idea why, but what someone posts in the "US" section shows up for EVERYONE. We all have the same forums.

2) To the person asking: you are in the wrong section. You need to ask maybe in Higher Education or something.

I'm sorry.  I'm even more confused than you!  You are on the American/Canadian site, so we are unfamiliar with many of the terms you are using.

These are *not* the US/Canadian/N. American boards; if they were, I doubt the URL currently displayed at the top of my screen'd be: ''http://au.answers.yahoo.com/question/...

The most that can be claimed on behalf of this board is that it is one of the English language boards. When I log in here it offers me the choice of : 'All English Language Questions' or 'Australian Questions Only'.

I still have no idea what this question is supposed to be about though. However I do know there are several Indian members who look in here sometimes so someone might know what he/she is talking about

I think you need to post this on the Y!A India forum.  This makes no sense on the North America forum.

For those who don't think there is a different site for India than for the US and Canada - go click on the India link at the bottom of the page under "Answers International".  The US and Canada questions are the same.  In the HS'ing category in India, there are only FOUR questions.  So how can they be the same?

Plus, in other categories, there are Indian questions that don't show up on our US forums.

Fiitjee is good but Hc verma is better. verma can be used both for theory as well as problems.the problems are good. apart from verma also solve sums of Irodev (mir publications)those 2 books are enough for iit if u can salve all relevant sums.
