Which single-coil pickups are the best??

Lace sensor

Vintage pickups

SCM pickups

hot alnico pickups

I want lot's of tone, the best sound, a bright sound, highest output and work well with distortion?

It's impossible to be objective with this sort of question.

The "best" sound is up to the taste of the listener.

However, I'm partial to Dimarzio, Virtual Vintage series.

And Lace Sensor - Gold are excellent.

Both of these sound very good on a Stratocaster type guitar.

The Lace Senor is a great pick up as the way it is produced is quite different to most pickups but, they have a great tone and amazing sustain but fail to deliver on distortion

hot Alnico pickups are great since alnico magnets are extremely good for a all around great clean sound, great with distortion aswel, they are also quite cheap.
