  1. god said !they know not what they do.[puncis pilot]

  2. Every year, five million children die from malnutrition-- that's one child every six seconds.

Is this a new or startling revelation? Unfortunately...no.

But, what if you were told that you could literally save a child's life for 20 dollars? Knowing that you could give the gift of life to a child that is destined to die, would you? Read on...

It's cheap, easy to make and even easier to use. It's a revolution in nutritional affairs.

    What is this miraculous cure?

It's a ready-to-eat, vitamin-enriched concoction called "Plumpynut," an unusual name for a food that may just be the most important advance ever to cure and prevent malnutrition.

In three weeks, a kid can be cured.

Plumpynut is a remarkably simple concoction: it is basically made of peanut butter, powdered milk, powdered sugar, and enriched with vitamins and minerals. It doesn't need refrigeration, water, or cooking; mothers simply squeeze out the paste. Many children can even feed themselves. Each serving is the equivalent of a glass of milk and a multivitamin.

By taking a miniscule proportion of the global food aid budget, so much of the underlying useless death would be solved. Wasted life. Just totally wasted life for nothing. Because the children don't have this product, a little bit of peanut butter with vitamins.. What a waste.

    How can you help?

"Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières" is a secular humanitarian-aid non-governmental organization that delivers emergency aid to people affected by armed conflict, epidemics, natural or man-made disasters, or exclusion from health care in more than 70 countries.

As an individual, coughing up $20 to save a child's life may or may not have "global" impact... but it "positively" rocks my world.

  3. Love thy neighbour as thyself.

  4. Earlier this year, I had occasion to visit the slightly obscure town of Kalamazoo, Michigan [ and I have the “Yes! There really is a Kalamazoo!” t-shirt to prove it :-) ]. The city has enacted the “Kalamazoo Promise”; anonymous donors have provided enough funding that, for the foreseeable future, every high school graduate can receive a full scholarship to the state college of his or her choice.

I realize the term “humanitarianism” is now primarily used in reference to the relief of world crisis, but as an enrichment of mankind, the Kalamazoo Promise is a wonderful example. It may not be the *ultimate* act of good, but it’s certainly the most poignant that I’ve witnessed. The hope in the area is palpable; there’s an indescribable sense of both purpose and accomplishment. In fact, strangers tried to convince me to move there. Whether the impact will be “global” is uncertain, but two other American towns are already preparing to imitate.

Obviously, we can’t all provide billions of dollars in the name of education, but the concept holds true for individuals. Exchange ideas, share knowledge--it’s the purpose of this site. I sincerely believe that the best way to help is to provide the means for self-help. If you can’t make waves, make ripples.

  5. Do the impossible- invent a perpetual motion machine.

  6. crash wall street computers and any backup data that should do it. h**l why not the NASDAQ as well.

  7. Every human being has a heart -- rich and poor alike.  If one could remove hatred/bias from it,  start loving and caring about others,  share others' problems,  lend ones shoulder to cry upon,  give a patient hearing to their problems,  I am sure this will make a POSITIVE Global impact.  There would be less tension everywhere.

It is easier said than done but a small beginning at an individual level could and should be made and you would be amazed how fast and far its impact reaches.....It costs nothing in monetary terms so even the poorest of poor can participate and make this DREAM come true....

  8. stop farting , after all methane is a much more destructive gas.

  9. Cleaning up after yourself.

  10. If I could possibly achieve one single act, I would deliver food to the starving and needy of the world, flying to regions where there was desolation and poverty beyond description.  My thoughts are genuine and pure of heart.  I have supported a child from an impoverished family for the past ten years.  He receives one meal a day, is schooled and receives medical attention.  I send him clothing twice a year, books and school supplies.  I do my best toward humanity; we all need to.

  11. For the practical, giving to reputable charities that provide medicine, clothing, food, equipment for raising food, and educational resources to those that would otherwise have not access.

From the heart, learning about other cultures and being one who embraces human beings for themselves, rather their beliefs or external appearance.

  12. Raise your children to care about there world and others more than material objects...and then live by what you teach...
