  1. C or D, but I'm leaning more towards D.

  2. Since I am for separation of powers and checks and balances, either B or C would be my choices.

I don't vote based on party, though, so in a way, I like D.  I just vote for the best candidate for the particular office.

  3. With the ever increasing partisanship being spewed from both sides I'll take D.

  4. I like option D as an alternative to the extremely divisive, non-productive, bipartisan, unsuccessful, unpopular Congress we currently have.

There is no guarantee a Congress made up of Independents would somehow find a way to work together in a productive fashion and produce positive results.  But when something is broken, I say it's time to try something different.

  5. E) Follow election law set forth in the Constitution as it currently stands

The trouble is, and this is way oversimplified, if the liberals were allowed too much control, we would end up passing through socialism to communism and ultimately anarchy. If the conservatives were allowed too much control, we would ultimately end up in a fascist society. We need the constant struggle between the two to keep ourselves somewhere near the middle.

    Edit

I see a lot of people like "D" but it has a problem too. The goals of the country need to be narrowed down to some extent, otherwise we end up moving in too many different directions. India is a good example of this, with over 50 parties (or unique mantras) for their elections, it always turns out that a small minority of the people are actually being represented.

  6. D

  7. D) Dispense with both parties and elect nothing but independents.

  8. C.  but only if the Senate is controlled by the opposing party of the president.
