situation 1 definetly.

If u miss that shot den most probably, u wouldnt have a chance to shoot again. And its alot harder when people are contesting that shot.

For situation 2

most nba players have a 80% ft shooting average. Thus going in consecutive twos doesnt take much effort. In fact for that situation, going in one would suffice to tie the game to bring it to overtime.

You should have make situation 2, that your team is down 90-93, and the ft shooter will shoot 3 freethrows to bring the game to overtime. I think that might be more interesting cause it takes alot of nerves...

for example, if the shooter shoots a 3 in under 10 secs, the other team still has a chance of tieing and getting in into overtime.

theres even more options than that

if the best ft shooter shoots it, hes probably gonna drain both, or just tie it, depends on how nervous he is.
