Gyarados-high attack, strong water pokemon, good dragon moves

Tyrannitar- high all around stats, crushing power

Dragonite- dragon pokemon which knows hyper beam

Charizard- one of the best starter pokemon with high attack

Alakazam- great physic pokemon, high special attack

gallade- learns grass moves and physic moves

This is an all around pokemon

I would choose:

Luxray- Great Electric type Pokemon which learns great moves.

Glaceon- I have a Glaceon in my team and it's awsome throughout.

Charizard- Fire and Flying type, a Pokemon which has two different types is even better. This is the most original Fire type Pokemon.

Kingdra- It's a Dragon and Water type so it'll be very useful as Dragon type moves are very powerful.

Gallade- I have never had one in my team but they look so cool.

Swellow- Swellow is a great Pokemon who will finish off your team!

These Pokemon I have chosen are who I like the best, but it doesnt mean they are the most powerful. If you wanted a team who are the most powerful you should pick the following:

dragon claw- STAB/owns dragon types b/c garchomp 2x weak to dragon moves

swords dance- boosts attack stat in battle

evolve haunter into gengar

gengar- its speed and special attack stat is very good ghost/poison

shadow ball- STAB/deals with ghosts/pychic types b/c it's 2x weak to psychic and ghost

hypnosis- a pain in the butt for opponent

psychic- just a move to inflict damage with

giga drain- heals hp while damaging foes

metagross- attack and defense are good

psychic/steel

agility- boosts speed in battle b/c it's slow

zen headbutt- STAB

meteor mash- may up attack in battle/STAB

explosion- last ditch effort

try to get an infernape

nasty plot- boosts special attack two stages

flamethrower- STAB/nasty plot powers it up

close combat- STAB/great fighting move

grass knot- deals with it's weaknesses/water/ground/rock

earthquake- standard move/deals with electric types which it's weak to by 4x along with rock types which it's 2x weak to

STAB- same type attack bonus

try to have a variety of types because your team will have less weaknesses

not one pokemon i mentioned here are the same type if you don't include charizard
