I've been snowboarding several times and I think I'm a freestyle boarder but I'm not sure... I also don't know what size of a board, boots, and bindings to get. I wiegh about 104 lbs and I am 5'4. I wear a size 8-81/2 sneaker. I ride about 80% of the time going off jumps in the terrain park. I'm a teenager who's probably done growing... Any advice? Thanks! =D

  1. If you are into freestyle that much, then I suggest that you stick to about 138.  There are lots of great girl's freestyle boards out there.  As for boots, try on a lot of boots before you decide.  You want to have a good fit.  Make sure that you include 32 in the list of candidates as they are the lightest bots on the market - but if they don't fit you well look to another brand.  Get bindings that fit your boot well.  Have fun picking your new equipment!

  2. freestyle= from shoulders to chin

    regular riding=chin to nose

burton is a good all around board if your still not sure what type of boarder you are

  3. The best way to try out some different equipment is to rent it, that way you can figure out what works best for you before you waste your money.

I rented a Burton deck and bindings the last time I was in Jackson Hole, WY - and it SHREDDED!!!  (of course, it's all straight down the side of a cliff there!)
