Which smart phone is better, HTC Touch or Blackberry Curve?

i want a phone that will be the most functional and will last the longest

Please dont go for HTC. I bought an HTC Touch phone 3 days ago. While using it I noticed it hung a couple of times. Then yesterday after one such hang it shut down and it is not starting since. I have tried calling them and also went to their service center. They are now telling me it might be the motherboard which is not covered under warranty and costs 13k Rs. (I got the phone for 14k !!! ). There are many people facing the same...please dont go for it unless you are really sure of it.

The "better" phone is the one that does the things YOU need it to do the best way. For me, the BlackBerry device is the one that suits my needs. And the fact that BlackBerrys don't have Windows Mobile is a plus in my book.

I would personally get a Blackberry Curve.  The HTC Touch's touchscreen is a bit small to fully suit my needs (I like to use my fingers while browsing the web, not a stylus) so I would get a Curve.  Also, since the Touch doesn't have a keyboard it'll be hard to text with it (or annoying) unlike texting with the Curves QWERTY keyboard.  Also, the Curve has a very smooth and FAST OS that is intuitive and easy to use.
