  1. Mark Willaims said they would look at him in 2009

  2. swans have ruled him out even "if" he finishes his rehab in the states (which he obviously hasn't).

  3. carlton, it happened about a month ago

  4. I would have him at Melbourne, he might be able to pass something on to the others so they can perform in a game, for once!

  5. I still think Sydney will have a good chance of getting Cousins.  He definitely needs to get out of WA and away from the 'scene' that surrounds all his bad habits.  A new city might help him, though he will be away from his family.

Im not saying WA is bad, just his lifestyle & 'friends' over there.

There is no way Collingwood will snap up Cousins - I doubt Eddie and the club needs any more publicity and controversy!

  6. How does someone who is in the headlines, and trying to rehabilitate, get the urge to restart a playing career.?

The only ones who could be interested, are possibly the kangaroos, as they need the publicity, and a draw card like Ben Cousins to keep them in Melbourne.

  7. Sydney and the Dockers have both said if he cleaned up his act they would think about giving him a chance.

  8. Geez, Jemima....what a great question !  Mark Wlliams  a former Collingwood captain, and current Port Adelaide coach , can see some potential in recruiting Ben Cousins?       Collingwood coach Mick Malthouse and his assistant Guy McKenna, both ex Eagles, attended the funeral  of Chris Mainwaring, Cousins best mate.

Malthouse was the the coach, who "spoke" to Cousins before his "first" ever AFL game.    That in itself is INTIMATE  knowledge between 2  sports people, and Malthouse would and should, basically know Ben CousinsI inside out !

If Collingwood , through Malthouse and McKenna are both loath, to recruit Cousins, you could  expect a serious problem, still exist's with the person and the player, ....but then why would, Collingwood's next coach in waiting ...Mark Williams, ...come out in support of Cousins, saying he is a chance to resume his career in 2009 ?

  9. Melbourne Storm

  10. Oh god I hope it's the Kangaroos!!!

I'd love to see him in a Kangaroos jersey. YUMMY!!!!

  11. yo mama

  12. I think you could probably name the usual suspects Carlton   St KIlda Kangaroos any of the clubs that perceive they need a marquee player. however that all depends on what the AFL do next week. Personally I think if any one picks him up it will have to be a team that won't take any nonsense other wise it will blow up all over again
