Which social networking site is better and why - Facebook or Myspace?

What are the main differences and which one is more popular?

I think the main difference is that in you can "design' you profile page.. like add a background and music and stuff like that. Thats really the biggest difference, that and mostly college and up use facebook and a lot of younger people use myspace because they have the time to do all the designing. I have both but I use facebook much more.

I think it depends on what your preferences are. If you want to reconnect and keep in touch with friends, Facebook is better. If you want to randomly meet different people and you also have a knack for designing pages or enjoy listening to music, MySpace is better.

I personally prefer Facebook to keep in touch with friends -- it has amazing privacy settings and is simpler to keep up with what's going on with people. I still keep my MySpace since some of those friends don't have Facebook, plus if I have some free time I like to design my page.

Overall though, MySpace is generally more popular -- it has more members and in the USA, it's #3 of the most visited websites. If you break it down by age though, I'm sure Facebook is more popular with the 20-something crowd, maybe even with older people because it's easier to use and easy to find old friends/classmates/co-workers. (Though overall it's #5 in the USA)

Well it depends on what you want..

Myspace: Have a layout, html comments, etc..

FB: More Privacy, notifications , keep in touch w/ school buddies or family

facebook is a lot safer but myspace has more people and you can design it how you like it. i use facebook MUCH more than myspace
