  1. find a song that really touches someone or something that people can relate to cuz that really gets the judges attention

  2. All of these are rly good songs but... i would choose i have a dream from mamma mia or maybe i dreamed a dream from les miserables (Luv that show!!) anything rly is good though but i could give you a better answer if i knew what play it was and what part you want. hope i can help!!!!!

p.s. just a tip dire ctors don't typically like it when you sing a song from the play you are auditioning for

  3. A great thing to do is sing a song from the play or movie your trying out for. I just recently auditioned for 'High school musical' and got the part of Taylor by singing 'What i've been looking for ' By Sharpey in the play. Im in 6th grade and am reaaaaally happy with the part:):)

  4. try something from a new musical,to be differant. there are some brilliant songs in new tony award musicals such as next to normal, 9 to 5 and our house. songs from miss saigon are ofter very impressive. if your set on one of the choices you have above then id go with defying gravity as it really shows off vocal range but it is also a very predictable for the judges

  5. any of them

  6. You should sing anything you feel comftable singing ,, and nothing that stratches your voice too far... I am in the same possition and have no clue what to sing either but im just experementing with my voice to see what it can and cant sing x

  7. you should sing some where over the rainbow from the wizard of oz, or moon river from breakfast at Tiffenys. i did it at an audition and got the part!!  you should do a classical song, as every one will try to be different and will do new songs. So if you do a classic song, you will be the only one doing it, and you will leave an impression on the judges!!!

  8. if your a boy probly hip hop and girl sing i believe from journy or i will follow him from sister act

  9. um... sing da songs ur into people might thik its dumb but if u dont like da song u wont do soo good

  10. Maybe a Taylor Swift song or a song from the Beatles!!!! I would recommend Don't Let Me Down from the Beatles bcuz that gets me into musicals even though it's not in a musical. Beatles really catch the directors attention especially if they are old bcuz they enjoy songs they like from childhood moments!!!!!!! like everyone else said be yourslef!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh and also possibly you could do some songs from Glee (the show) that they do!!!!!!!!! go to hulu and look up glee and watch the finals (last show b4 season ended) and do a song from there!!!!!!! Show off your acting talent as well!!!!!!!!!!

  11. sing;
    demi lavato- lala land.
its really good + quite easy to sing if you have a good voice.
    GO ON  TRY IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  12. Sing a song that you love todo, and act bubbly be yourself it dosent matter what song it matters how good you sing it

  13. Any disney song is good. Pick a song that is well known. But not overdone. Also make sure you like the song and it is fun to sing because if it's not it will show and the director will think your not passionate about singing or acting.

  14. well i have been in a ton of musicals and wicked is OK but try to do something that you are comfortable singing and make sure you can hit the notes!!!! Maybe make arrangements to get vocal lessons cus your teacher will give you good advice on what to sing and some good songs that are in your range!!! Maybe something from Annie or Guys and Dolls or school house rock orrrr the sound of music....hope this helps....GOOD LUCK =]

  15. I would honestly say that all of the songs that you listed wouldn't work to your best advantage. Like someone else said, DO NOT ever attempt to sing something from Wicked, even if you can hit all of the notes and knock it out of the park...the same thing (I think) goes for Rent as well. Both of them are just too recent and if you want to really get the casting director's attention, I would suggest trying to find something that's not so often used. Even though you might prefer Rent and Wicked to other musicals, it really catches people's attention when you sing something that they don't hear too often. Do some searching through older musicals. Anything Rogers and Hammerstein or Andrew Loyd Webber is good and try to avoid anything Sondheim. Good luck!

  16. NEVER!!!! i repeat NEVER NEVER NEVER sing a song from wicked!!! EVER!!!!!
it wont help you choose something fresh and original! please!

  17. i would recomend doing  "if i only had a brain" from the wizard of oz. it got me into my first four musicals that i've done. or, defying gravity or no  day but today. another good one is "don't stop believin'" by journey and another good one is "drops of jupiter" by train. im only thirteen and all of these have gotten me in to musicals. :)
