  1. Ummm the one with all the queens in it?

  2. Everything boils down to whether you believe in what the sorority stands for and the work they do for the community.  Also, some people consider whether they'll be able to tolerate the people they see who are already members.  That will be the best determination of what the best sorority is.  Also, if you on here looking to find the 'best' sorority so you can be a part of the 'best' group, I think you have a LOT more research to do on what sisterhood actually is.  It's not about being popular, and it's not about what you can get; it's about what you can give.  When you analyze that, I think you'll be able to make a decision on what sorority you would like to join.  Best of luck in your search for sisterhood.

  3. Hi Leslie

I don't have an answer for you because this is the Royalty section at Yahoo Answers.  You might try resubmitting your question to a different category.

    best of luck to you!

  4. Maybe you would be better off if you put this posting in Tennessee travel. That way you will get an answer that will help you, as you have put this in Royalty

  5. Well, you don't specify if you mean the white ones or the historically black ones.  I hate to burst your bubble but probably every member of all the sorority chapters at your school would say that their chapter is the best.  And it's true.  Everyone has their own idea of what the best is and how they define it.  You would be smartest to not worry about what your friends say or think and join the one you feel most comfortable with.  If you're really hung up on having your choice validated by others rather than following your own heart, you can obtain information from your school to help you define for yourself which chapter is the "best".  But first you have to define for yourself how you would define "best".  Some shallow options are:  the chapter who had Homecoming Queen the most out of the last 5 or 10 years, the chapter with the highest GPA last year, the chapter that donated the most service hours to philanthropy, the chapter with the most athletes, the chapter with the fewest fat girls or whatever dingy idea you have.  Of the chapters at your school, Alpha Delta Pi is the oldest, founded in 1851 with Phi Mu the second oldest founded 1852.  Delta Zeta has the most number of undergraduate chapters.  Chi Omega has the most initiated members (this includes little old ladies and, rumor has it, dead ones too).

  6. This is a question you'll have to answer yourself. If you talk to everyone that's in a sorority at Tennessee, they'll tell you their sorority is the best. Do your own research on the sororities by talking to members of the sororities and attend any functions they have on campus. Nine out of ten times, you'll be able find their national websites on the net. There, you'll be able to learn their history, founders and what their main goals are. You have to keep your grades up and continue to do community service. Joining a sorority is a life time commitment. Whichever one you decide to join, make sure that's the one you want to be apart of.
