I love the clean , sour , hot and salty taste of that soup ... I love the one that is clear traditional type rather than the one they add the chili paste which makes the soup look oily...

hi there Gar, mate i have tried both and i can tell you from a westerners point of view and i speak for allot of non philos  that sinigang is the best by a mile,  no other soup is more addictive , no other soup makes you  wish you had some and no other soup leaves you so satisfied and yet so light at the same time,   everyone loves a good sinigang.

i prefer the Sinigang. it's just taste good. the combination of the tamarind (sampalok), peppers and other ingredients are perfectly a good combination. and it's a healthy foods.good for the people who are in diet. it's the best!!!1

Sinigang na maasim with lots of gabi and kangkong--but I like the sea food tom yum..too..but Im nationalistic..so id say sinigang..manyaman yang sobra...

sinigang!!! It tastes like sour,with ginger and vinegar. And ginger  is good for you to help you digest the food, and at the same time it makes the food smells good.  You can put vegetables and chili if you like, and it does not look oily, it is healthier to eat.

Tom yum is one of the best soups ever!  I too love the sour yet simple taste.  MMM spicy!
