  1. Carcassonne will keep you very busy and is very interesting (because of the Cathar history).  Three days would be a nice amount of time to relax and take everything in.  See the fortified Cité and go downtown.  There is lots to do.   It is a very relaxed and friendly town.....usually very hot in summer, fabulous!  Check this out:

  2. Try Aix En Provence. Not a city but a gorgeous town.

  3. I love Languedoc (a region on the south western Mediterranean coast)... there are a lot of great villages to visit and some bigger towns like Carcassonne and Nimes.

South Eastern France is great as well, around Aix-En-Provence. Outside of Nice there is a small town called Eze with is amazing too.

There is a lot of choice, and 3 days will give you just a small taste - just enough to make you want to rush back.

  4. I took a train from Bacelona to Avignon on our way to Venice. We've been to Avignon twice. The city is known for the Palace of the Popes (Palais des Papes), where many popes lived from the early 14th to early 15th centuries, and it's famous partially-built bridge (it is mentioned in the French song, "Sur le pont d'Avignon..."). Cool little town. Nearby is the psychiatric hospital in Saint-Rémy where Van Gogh admitted himself. You should check it out.

  5. Montpellier is my favorite. Ppl is so nice and i don't have a problem when i say than i'm parisian (everywhere when i say that, noboday talk to me).

Weather is very sweet, ppl too, the town is historic and the youngest in france with the students

  6. Marseille and Toulouse are really nice, but nice is awesome too! there are all sorts of nice touists attractions, and if its the right time, they celebrate the awesome festival...mardi gras!!! and its held in france. hope that helps
