What spanish verb book is better? I'm not really a good in spanish class I get B's and C's so I need one that will be the most useful to me. I bought the 2,000+ Essential Spanish Verbs by Living language at Barnes and Nobles because they didn't have the Barron's 501 verbs. so I couldnt compare. I'm not sure if I like it though. I'll be in 4th year, but i'm far from perfect at spanish. I need some of those beginner tips and hints.

Does the Barron's 501 verbs have an example of how each verb is used in a sentence in each tense? The one I have right now seems a little unorganized, but I've read mixed reviews about which one is better. so can anybody please tell me which one you like better and why? Thanks!

  1. I never used either but my spanish professor swore by barrons 501 so idk good luck

  2. Even my Barron's 299 verbs is a bit over the top.  Most of them are the roots, like Tener and  venir with prefixes.  So one entry is obtener, and mantener, and sostener, then prevenir and porvenir.

So, if you know Tener, and Venir, then you are fine.

So, the smaller the better.  There really aren't all THAT many root words.
