Which speaker amp to use???

so i just sold my really old kicker amp to my brother, and i'm getting a new one....

i am looking at these two amps, but any other suggestions are welcome.

Kicker ZX350.4

Infinity Reference 7541a

the kicker would perfectly power my speakers, which run at 4ohms and 60 rms watts per channel, but i was reading that you should get double what the power your speakers need in an amp, so i was looking at the infinity amp (111rms watts at 4ohms per channel), but some people said this infinity said clipping was a problem, and some said it was good...?

what would be a good choice to go with?

other suggestions are welcome too.. something not too terribly expensive tho.

THANKS!!!

  1. The Infinity will be a fine amp. Your gain will probably be turned way down so you shouldn't have any probs with clipping.
