  1. I dont think there is a comparison possible. The two are different beasts with the Legacy in a very different league.

The Genesis has a 'powered' sub section. Couple the Legacy whisper with some proper class A amplification and you will cleanly surpass the Genesis.

  2. I would ask the computer store people of the place you like to shop. They can help you.

  3. You need to know the 'legacy' of each speaker.

Genesis is another brain-child of Arnie Nudell...the genius behind the 'real' Infinity speakers of the 70's/80's.

Legacy holds true to the thinking of 'classic' sound reproduction.

The Legacy Whisper is a no-holds barred speaker which demands EXCELLENT upstream electronics. The choice you make in amplification will be heard across the entire spectrum.

The Genesis is essentially a higher-end version of the current Infinity speakers. The fact that the low end is powered, for the most part, is not a choice of audiophiles. Audiophiles prefer to choose the upstream electronics to drive their speakers. Which is why B&W DM605's really didn't hit the mark with audiophiles.

The Legacy is more classic....the Genesis is a progressive speaker.
