Ok, I am not too familiar with car audio systems and I need some help. I am looking to by a couple of 12s and I need help picking which one to buy. So far I have the following two in mind:

If you were buying speakers for your car and you had to choose between those two, which ones would you get and why?

THANKS!

  1. I have a bit of advise from 20 years of experience in car audio.       Stay with a Name Brand !

Every company from Kenwood/Pioneer/Alpine/JVC/Sony to any other name brand company sells product at a Low to Mid to High price level.    The thing about a name brand company is that they will always give you your money's worth (not cause they particularly like you but because they want to protect the name and reputation of their company)

If you buy a $50 kenwood woofer, you will get $50's worth of woofer.

most companies have woofers starting at $50.00 and best buy often has buy 1 get 1 free deals.  Look for a set of 12" woofers at $100-$140 from a brand name.

Give your local stereo shop a try, you will be suprised by the deals we can make on a slow mid-week.

Buy from a shop or real store or you may not get warranty (usually a minimum 1 year)
