  1. At work this doctor was saying that he had a choice of becoming a nuerologist.  He opted out  because the training was too long and when you practiced you have no life.  Constantly on call 24/7.


  2. Longest - Neuro and Gynaecology

  3. Family, Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, ER- 3 years

    Psych, OB/Gyn, Neuro, Path- 4 years

    General Surgery, Radiology, ENT, Optho (I think), Urology, and Ortho- 5

    Neurosurg is like 7 or 8.

    Then you can add on fellowships like Heme/Onc, Cardiology, Plastic surgery, etc.... those are usually 1-3 years.

  4. Shortest: Psychiatry, Int. Med, Family Med, Peds., etc.

    Longest:  Cardiothoracic Surgery, Neurosurgery
