  1. I'm not sure, but I can tell you that the Macaws and Chimpanzees are "incredibly" loud.  Because of their screaming in the zoo, I have developed Tinitis in both ears from working there with them.  The pitch and intensity is unbelievable.


  2. I think elephants communicate on such a low frequency that humans can't hear it. I do not know if it is the loudest sound an animal produces though ... the blue whale makes very loud sound too. With the help of the water (sound travels faster in water than air) blue whales can send their song many kilometers!
