  1. I think there's no need to ask. Obama all the way. His speech has been compared to JFK's. Palin? I don't know maybe some average feminist or smth.

  2. Senator Obama.  Everyone was watching his speech.  It was an historic event.

  3. Were we watching the same speech.  Senator Obama made an historic speech,  Gov. Palin just made a speech.

  4. I'm sure no one was sleeping during Obama's "pep rally". He actually had some action and movement in his.

  5.   I will remember Obama's. Out of principle, I don't pay attention to hypocrites, so I will have no memory of Palin's speech, except the short time we watched her lips moving after I hit the mute button, but before I changed the channel.

  6. I watched Obama's speech three times---I saw lots of promises---lots of rhetoric----but the memorable thing was the use of key phrases and slogans---what a waste of time----Sarah Palins speech has clear and concise points. I will remember a few key points----She brings Reform----and will work with McCain to achieve results.----She brought up family issues---they they are ordinary folks just like us facing the same challenges we face---She is not a Washington insider-----she will not talk one way in Scranton----and say different when in another place (how refreshing)----She said she accepts the 'call to serve' with a servants heart. (something some of us do understand)---She said she will challenge the Status-Quo with John McCain in the best interest of the people (I like her)---she promises ethics and integrity on the McCain/Palin '08 ticket!------Go-Team--Go

  7. Obama's speech!!!!! Bashing from a hillbilly writen by Bushes speech writer doesn't count as a speech.

  8. She gave a great speech, but that's all it was, a great speech.

Republican policies are still the same, and Obama is the only hope for America

Sadly some gullible Americans will not be concerned with the substance of her speech, but the tone

  9. Palin's speech was filled with outright lies.

  10. i loved Palin tonight, i think i will forever remember her sweet yet feisty and intellectual remarks. she has inspired me!

  11. I almost never remember much about what Obama is really talking about. It sounds great when he says it, but afterward, it's almost like waking up on your stomach on the floor with a sore ***.

So, I think I'll take more away from Palin's speech than Obama's.

  12. Obama's

However, I will remember Palin's speech to the AIP Convention 6 months ago:

  13. Palin's.  No one expected her to hit a homer her first time out.  Obama said nothing we didn't expect.  While Palin's speech was harsher to her opposition than Obama's, Obama's speech was much too filled with fantasizing and unrealistic dreams.

  14. Senator Obama hands down!!!  You are an Obama-hater.  I know you are going to pick someone who thinks Palin speech is the best.  Why ask a question if you know the answer already?  You not going to give an obama support a fair chance.  Senator Obama was the most watch and most inspiring speech out of the two. It was historic too. No one knows who this Palin woman is. Palin didn't tell us about herself but attack Senator Obama. John pick her to so white women will vote for him. That's insulting. McCain only spoke to her on a few occasion before picking her for VP. If Obama would have pick Hillary, I also think McCain would have went with Romney. ~:>

  15. I found Sarah Palin offensive and full of hate.  (she looked good though!)

  16. Obama's speech made me feel inspired and hopeful. I felt like he actually has a plan for the nation and that he might actually be able to bring people together to work for real solutions.

Palin's speech  didn't. She gave a good speech, but she didn't make me feel like she was interested in uniting the nation and bring about change for all. It was more about Republican platitudes and belittling the other side.

And by the way, Palin misrepresented Barack in several places. Most notably was his opposition to drilling for oil. Obama hasn't said "don't drill". He's said it's a stop-gap measure and should not divert us from plans to move forward on alternative energy.

  17. Palin's, hands down.

Incidentally, I heard that the teleprompter malfunctioned half way thru Palin's speech and she had to wing it the 2nd half. It didn't look like she missed a beat.

  18. They are both equally memorable.

Obama's for showing us his blatant disdain for our great country.  All he did is point out exaggerated negatives and point out to his flock of weeping zombies that their pitiful existences would come to an abrupt end if he wasn't elected to lead them from the depths of the neverworld.

Palin's for introducing a fresh, new political figure to her country, which she obviously loves.  For taking the best shots Obama's media has taken at her and brushing them away like a pesky fly.  Mostly, in my opinion, she related to average people, like me, who are sick of the lack of representation we have in Washington.

  19. Of course Senator Obama, he is inspiring and hopeful. Plus, Senator Obama made history as the first African American Democrat nominee. He lay out of plan for change, answered to the cricitc and gave punches to McCain. I love it. :P

  20. Obama Who!

  21. Obama made a great speech, but Palin's was fantastic. I finally feel that its possible for women to breach that wall that's been holding us back. Its finally possible that we could take one of the top jobs in the country.

If McCain and Palin win, I can hardly wait to see the battle between Sarah and Hillary!

  22. the pitbull: Palin's ! ! !

  23. Palin's. Not even close.

  24. Obama's

All Palen did was talk about Obama and if all I wanted to hear was people bash at Obama I could just listen to you.

  25. Palin's speech writers said today that they had to rewrite her entire speech because the original one they wrote was "too masculine."  That speaks volumes to me.  Why do we need another 4 years of talking puppets in Washington who are manipulated by people who are destroying our country?

If I have to listen to her laud herself about the "bridge to nowhere" one more time - when her record clearly shows that she supported it until she was elected governor - I think I'll puke.  Listening to the GOP say she "changed her mind" - when what she really did was lie to the citizens of Alaska to get elected - makes me feel sick too.

  26. Palin's speech, of course.  Well, I have to admit that I didn't bother watching Obama's speech.  But I am sure it was the same old same old...you know:

"It's time we have change (that's why I gave an old white man the spot as my running mate)"

"I want to bring hope to the people in this country. (actually, what I meant to say was, I hope to raise your taxes at least 50% in my first year in office, and at least 75% more by the time I leave office.)"

"I believe that we should immediately pull out of Iraq. (because I want to be friends with hostile nations and have talk with them without any preconditions.  I'd really like to see the women in our great nation wearing burkas and following in the footsteps of our men--LITERALLY following in their footsteps.)"

  27. i like how the dems say the speeches were empty and didn't talk about how they will help the economy, energy and taxes...i heard more of how and why from the speakers tonight than i heard all last week...0bama has not said how he would or could fund his BIG government....

  28. Palin's speech.  Heck, now I want Palin for President - never mind Obama or McCain!

  29. Easy....PALIN!!

She SINGLE HANDEDLY ripped Obama's record and experience to shreds!!

Palin was wonderful and doesn’t need a “styrofoam column” background or football stadium to rally support and media attention. There was more coverage of Palin’s speech within the hour after she delivered it than Obama has gotten in over a WEEK!

    It’s OVER for the Dems:

“I guess a small town mayor is sort of like a ‘community organizer’ except that you have actual RESPONSIBILITIES!”

    McCain/Palin '08 here we come!

  30. Governor Palin will be remembered because this was the first impression of her to the public, which is a lasting impression!

She also exposed the sheer weakness and un-qualification of Mr. Hussein Obama  ...this at a time when the public is growing weary of the Obama messianic hype!

  31. The fundie is way out of her league.  She needs to go back to her little hick town.  She'll regret her decision to accept the position when Biden tears her apart at the debate.

"Obamabots"?  "High School Pep Rally"?  Are you even old enough to vote?
