  1. Hey I read the other answers -- but I like the lycra or spandex suits the best because they fit best too.  I have had poly suits before and sometimes they can be scratchy.  The cost can be about the same, since you can buy suits cheap online.  I like to swim in my lycra suits at the beach or pool too.

  2. if this is a one time thing, and its not a long session, then go for something cheap.

if your planning on continuing to swim.. for a few months or w/e get a polyester one. if your competing get a nylon/lycra one. if your gonna be practicing and competing you might want to get both.

that might have been a little confusing... so basically

polyester suits last much longer, nylon/lycra suits dont last nearly as long (like 1/12 the life)

  3. Any way it is about your feeling so the best is the endurance ++ it is a Speedo brief or a wet shorts that can live longer

  4. The major difference between the materials is durability.  Polyester suits tend to last longer - take longer to fade and stretch.  It really comes down to personal choice.  I have one of each and don't have a preference one way or the other.  Go with a suit that you like the color and style of.

  5. Either will work fine. The polyester blend suit, not necessarily 100 percent will last a few years, whereas the nylon-lycra (or elastane) suit will wear out after six months of constant usage. Chlorine eats lycra fibers.

Good luck, work hard. You will enjoy swimming, a great exercise.

  6. according to me i prefer a Lycra .
