  1. Not sure, not a bike person.

  2. Ignore the year, go by the mileage. Lower the better. Look for "blueing" of exhausts. If they have excessive blueing near the cylinder heads it's been thrashed, avoid.

  3. go for the GSX-R 600 its better than a Honda any day

  4. i don't know

  5. Based on age I'd have to go with the Honda simply because I think it's reliability stacks up better.

Not that there's anything wrong with the Suzuki...just that Honda have really got the VFR's sorted and the Suzuki is older.

More chance that whoever has owned it has caned it at some point.

The only possibly issue is that I wouldn't consider the VFR 800 as a full on sports bike...more a sports tourer.

It wouldn't bother me none, the question is...does it bother you?

As for speed, academic I'd say......they will both show stupid numbers on the clock, a few more MPH out of one doesn't make any real difference.

I have a Bandit myself, but in this case I'd still pick the Honda.

  6. Unless that Gixxer's been rebuilt, go with the Honda. At 6 years old, even that is getting a bit long in the tooth, but at least it's not an antique like the GSXR.

Have any used bike carefully examined by someone who knows what to look for or you may end up buying a peck of trouble.
