My views on league are well known - requires major rule changes to bring it back to its peak in the 1970s.

Union is too technical and over whistled.

AFL is the sport of the Australian people, as opposed to league which was born from English coal mining villages.

AFL is my life, so yes, I'd have to say it is better than Rugby League and Union.

Lol depends on your tastes, but for me its AFL of course. Fast paced running, ferocious tackling, sheer skill and class, inventiveness, ingenuity...it's always great watching a match with those elements.

I know lots of backward people who would suggest league is and a handful of tossers who would say union..

But the average Aussie could name you more AFL team club names than either of the Rugby sides..

Rugby League.

We can make backward passes as someone has pointed out but must carry the ball with our bodies & crash through the tackles.

Not like Aussie Rules with all this chipping the ball backwards & running away from body contact.

ARL is a game for real men ....AFL is for boys, as one can see most teams are made up by teenagers these days - because it is such a soft, non-contact sport. As David Parkin said on TV last night, AFL has now become "squeaky clean".
