i'm 15 (turning 16 soon) and i want to either take up ROWING or SOFTBALL. which one do you think will be easier to adapt to? i'm having mixed thoughts about being too old to be competitive in softball (and maybe rowing, too)

  1. Rowing will get you ripped!! You can do whichever one appeals to you more. Softball might be harder cause you have to have good hand eye coordination be fast, be able to throw a ball well but anything can be learned from a good coach.

  2. I play softball and I've rowed before (not competitively). They both take strength, technique, and focus. Softball, you might have to have more natural skills to do. If you walk onto a field and can play softball and want to learn to play it, it's possible. But if you don't give any effort, you can't get better at it. Both sports you'll have to keep up with even outside of the season they're played in. If you're hitting 65 MPH (I'm just using this because that's what we hit) and it goes into the off-season and you come back in the spring without practice, you can no longer hit the 65 MPH pitch. You have to work on both sports all year. Once you stop, it's all gone. You'll have to retrain yourself. I'd pick softball because I like the sport better, but whatever. Have fun!!

  3. What the?? You are calling yourself old?? As long as your in high school its NEVER too late to start taking sports! Even in college. People/students gotta start at some point!!

In my opinion rowing would be fun. It's unique and not a ton of people have that kind of experience.
