Which sports will make my leg muscles stronger?

I need to strengthen my leg muscles for horse riding. My trainer suggested that I take up another small time sport. Which sport(s) do you reccommend?

  1. Doing squats with a barbell on your shoulders will definitely make your legs stronger.  In other words 'weight lifting'.


  2. Any sport that requires a lot of running or go to the gym and work out on machines for leg strength.

  3. football is best sport to make ur leg muscles stronger

  4. Let's see: football; basketball; baseball; soccer; boxing; sprinting; etc... Almost anything. I would be carefull about long distance running though, because running too far can actually break down muscles, like a marathon. Look up any sports that you find interesting; I'm almost positive they will incorporate leg muscles

  5. riding with out stirrups
