  1. Austin, Texas wasn't.  "Joshua k" was correct as well.  I lived in Columbus, Ohio back in '99 - 2000.  I just looked it up in my Encyclopedia Britannica, and Columbus, Ohio IS named after Christopher Columbus.  There is a Columbus, Georgia, but it's not the capital of Georgia, and my encyclopedia doesn't say it's named after Christopher Columbus.  South Carolina's capital is Columbia, and my almanac makes no reference to it being named after Christopher Columbus.  My wife just presented me with a print out of States and their capitals, and those two States are the  only ones that even come close to having "Columbus" as their capital, and S. Carolina is ruled out, so, Columbus, Ohio is the only one named after Christopher.  All the other States have capitals that are NOT named after Christopher.  God Bless you.

  2. every state but Ohio

  3. what is the real question?

  4. The only ones I can think of that are named for Columbus are Columbus, OH and Columbia, SC.

  5. Honolulu, Hawaii

    Juneau, Alaska

    Albany, New York

    etc

    hope this helps

  6. I would say 49 of them, possibly 50, depending on whether or not Columbus Ohio was named after Christopher Columbus.
