Which state has the highest payed veterinarians?

I'm thinking about ohio,florida,california or any other states.

California has great payed everything, exept teachers perhaps.

But i know my local veterinarian says she makes in the 70k's

Well, its hard to say because it depends if the Vet is working for a general or a specialty practice. In general practice, highest paying states could be California (more in southern california like San Diego has average starting salary of about 120k), New York , Virginia, Masachussetts, Nevada, Maryland, Connecticut. Rest of the states pay about 90-100k, Virginia is excellent state to work in.

I am a Veterinarian in Seattle, WA. Here its like 80-90k plus bonuses etc.
