Okay, this question is kind of stupid, but I can't find the answer anywhere on the internet. Basically I want to know which state produces the most commercially used lumber (not which state has the most forests or trees). Thaaaanks!

  1. Pro ably the state of Washington.........

  2. Alaska

  3. Oregon?

  4. Most of the U.S. Lumber comes from Central California northward to Canada. They grow giant Redwood, Fir, Cedar and Spruce trees. While you can get alot of lumber from places like Maine and Michigan, the logs will only be 3-4 feet in diameter. The trees from out west are usually 6 to 15 feet in diameter! And some in California grow to be much larger.

    Hope this helps!

  5. "Since 1938, Oregon has been the largest producer of lumber in the United States."

  6. oregon
