Which state provides the best services for children with autism?

Question

More specifically, does anyone have an opinion on the quality of services in public schools in Long Island, New York?

I know that quality varies from district to district; anyone know of good districts to move into?

From everything I have heard, Asheville, North Carolina is the Autism capital of the world.  UNC Asheville is on the forefront of research.  They are on the cutting edge of teacher training.  The community there is very large.

Pennsylvania by far.   Its better than any other state ive researched.

North Carolina. We have http://www.teacch.com/ . check out their site. they have worked with my son since the day he was diagnosed in their charlotte office at 18 months old. they have even came to my home and helped me get some programs in place. they go to the schools where they have teacch classroom and if your child is mainstreamed they will work with the teachers. i can call them anytime i have an issue and they are there for me. my son has been involved in studies through chapel hill where they do lots of different things with they autistic population.

Interesting questions.

This is very hard question to answer.

Especially since the parents of kids with autism are bogged down by so much information. We find it hard just to keep track of various treatments.
