  1. Indiana doesn't have much, and what it does have is either on private property or part of a state park - and its illegal to climb in most of Indiana's state parks. Most climbers go to Kentucky.

Florida is better for bouldering than getting on any good crags. Lots of limestone, but not much else.

Washington is going to give you the most routes. If you are interested, check out:

There is great info on routes (as well as info on alpine/mountain climbing).

You might be a climber if ...

... you can make it from your car to your attic without touching the ground.

... you have one of those "falling" dreams and on your way down you scope out the cliff to see if it will go.

... every time you drive under a bridge on the highway you almost pull over to try to arch it.

... you can pronounce Popocatepetl correctly more than once in a row.

  2. The highest point in Florida is a hill about 50 feet high... There are limestone cliffs in Indiana but they are not good holding rock... Washington State has Granite cliffs... that's your best climbing State.

  3. Washington.  That's the most mountainous of the 3 you listed. In fact, Florida and Indiana don't really have much topography.  They are pretty flat.

  4. Only Washington state has Rocky mountains for rock climbing

    and that is my choice.

  5. Washington.

It has the highest elevation among them. The Cascade Mountains is there and the Rocky Mountains are just nearby the state.

Indiana is on the Great Plains and Florida is on the Coastal Plains.
