Which states give the best wages for teachers?

I'm in high school right now but after I get out and graduate from college with the needed diplomas, I'm going to go into teaching, but what state pays the best wages?

I'm not trying to be smart, but it really doesn't matter because 50k in one state is not the same in another state because of the cost of living.  In Texas I make 50k but I would have to earn much more in New York or California or Hawaii to live the same lifestyle.  After you figure out where you want to live, find out how to get certified in that state.  Good luck.
