I heard that Iowa, misissippi, alabama are some of the worst states in US. Why do they say so? Is this correct.

Can anyone recommend some cool states of US where crime rate is low, and also which contains some beautiful fun parks.

  2. All the states are good in their own way.  However, I'm kind of partial to California.

  3. newyork

    L.A.

    C.A.

    washington D.C.

  4. Massachusetts

  5. california

  6. Not Michigan.

  7. Iowa is out in the boonies. Missisippi and Alabama are crowded with people in the lower income bracket. It doesn't matter what race. The houses there out by the swamp areas where there are a lot of flies and mosquitoes. It's not a great place to live because it is humid and hot there...not to mention dusty.

The cool states to live in the U.S. with a pretty low crime rate would be Campbell, California..which is by the way close to San Jose, California..the place known as Silicon Valley. If you plan on going to any amusement parks, you can go to Marine World, Six Flags in Vallejo, California which is not very far from San Jose, California. I'd say it would be an hour drive from there.

But if you plan to go to Anaheim, California where Disneyland is, be prepared for a long 8 hour drive there.

    Good luck!

  8. New York???

  9. PACIFIC COAST HIGHWAY, CALIFORNIA

  10. I always thought that Washington sounded like a beautiful state to live in. According to the source below, the crime rate of Seattle doesn't seem to be too bad compared to other large cities. I don't know about the crime rate of Washington state in general, though.

  11. It depends on what you're looking for. There are a lot of things to consider. Employment opportunities, housing, total costs of living, weather, crime rates, etc... As far as crime rates go, there are some places that land well above the national average and some that land below it but it general I'd say most places won't be much different than pretty much everywhere else in the US.

Do you want to live in a big city where there is a lot to do? California, New York, Florida, and Illinois can all offer that. However, cost of living is higher in all of these places, as will be crime rates due to more people being there. Anywhere where crime and housing is cheaper will be much less populated and often not where most people want to go because they're more isolated.

Check out city-data.com. It can give you all the information about crime, climate, population, employment, housing.
