I live in Georgia and I hate it so much. The weather here is terrible in the summer. The heat is nauseating to me. I hate heat.

But I like cold.

Are there any states other than Alaska that do not get that hot during spring/summer?

  1. Maine, Wiscosin, Minnesota, Washington, Oregon,

  2. Wyoming is comfortable as the only "hot" days are typically in July into August.  Even then the humidity is quite low, and the temperatures quickly cool into the 50's and 60's in the evenings.

It is not unusual for it to snow in April and May, and rarely even in June, and that over lower elevations.

  3. Washington State doesn't get too hot in the summer. Around 70 degrees Fahrenheit.

  4. It depends on how cool you want. 1; Elevation will affect how warm or cool it is. Taos can be cooler than Minneapolis in the summer due to its elevation. Same with many parts of Wy., and Co.   Being near water can reduce temperature swings, meaning it will be cooler on the Great Lakes shore side towns than say in central Mi.  Cool Ocean breezes keep Or., and Wa. towns on the coast much cooler than say Seattle. While Seattle will be cooler than Spokane in the summer. In the fall and winter these effects work the other way. Now the water is warmer than the air so Seattle will be warmer than Spokane. Same with the towns along the Great Lakes shore line.  Large bodies of water moderate tempreture swings. Absorbing heat in the summer and releasing it in the fall and winter, at least untill they freeze over.

The coolest state Alaska, place, top of Mt. McKinley, although cooler temps have been recorded on top of My Washington in New Hampshire, it is much warmer there in the summer.

    PS  I hate hot too.

  5. Upstate New York, Washington state, Oregon, Maine, New Hampshire,... any of the New England states are fine...
