Which steaks are best?

When one goes to a new restaurant, which cut is the one to go with? Which one is the fool-proof order?

KOBE BEEF

FILET

Me? Depends.

If it's a good restaurant, I'll ask the waiter, they tend to know what's best that day. Otherwise, play it safe, get the T-bone.

Definitely filet mignon!  New York Strips are good too, but the filet is definitely foolproof, which is what you asked for.

I prefer the new york strip.  another good cut that alot of people prefer is the ribeye, but that's not really my style.  and if you have a lot of money you can go with the t-bone. it's the best cut but i find that with the bone, you don't get nearly as much steak

My favorite is ribeye.  It is really hard to mess up a Tbone.  But it is really easy to mess up a sirloin.  The leaner cuts are harder to cook and still keep moist and tender.
