Which stock trading company is worth using?

Zecco.com, AmeriTrade.com, Scottrade.com, or something else?

I have a Etrade and TD Ameritrade accounts and of the 2 I like Ameritrade's platform the best.  I would say it kind of depends on your trading habits and what you personally want out of a online broker.  I'd check out each broker's website in pretty good detail to get a feel of what their sites are all about and what they offer.  Good luck.

All the firms that you mention enjoy very good reputations which they have earned..

All major brokerage firms are "worth" using, if they weren't they would not be in business.

BUT, you mentioned a stock trading company, if you really want a "stock trading" company you will have to stick with the larger firms.   Why you need a stock trading firm, does not make sense unless you're taking down large positions or want to do block trades.

Use Ameritrade; I have used them for years. Brokers will just make you broker.

I use Zecco since I'm a relatively small investor (only a few thousand dollars in the market) and the ten free trades/month lets me diversify my portfolio a great deal since I can invest a few shares in a bunch of different companies and not worry about commissions.

I have been very happy with Fidelity.  I have heard some horror stories about  Scottrade.
