Question:

Which stores in the mall should I go for clothes?

I am a fresh college grad with NO work clothes. I have one suit, shirt, and tie. I will work as an actuary so I'm assuming it will be a very formal environment.

I haven't been to a mall in over 6 years. On top of that, my college habits of drugs and alcohol has left me with about a 400 dollar budget for clothes. Which stores should I go to for the best deals and looks? And around how much am I expecting to pay for clothes?

ie: $__ for shirts, $__ for ties

  1. Try Kohl's!

My husband and I shop there all the time--and he works in a professional environment.

Kohl's usually has great sales too--he can usually get 2 pair of slacks for $45-$60 and shirts and ties are comparable.

  2. Express, Bannana Republic, Sears, JC Penneys & Macey's are all great and usually have sales.

  3. jc penny pacsun

  4. dont know where you are but SYMS is great.

  5. I'm just curious... how were you hired as an actuary for doing drugs?  Don't they have a drug test prior your hiring?

Another thing, how do you pass your exams with doing drugs and being drunk?  Can you tell me what company is this?

Go to JC Penney or Target and buy a couple dress shirts and slack pants.  You don't need to wear a tie on normal work day.  Don't pay any item over $20.  Unless you're an actuarial consultant required traveling then you need expensive clothes.  Friday is casual day when you can wear T-shirt and jeans.
